Submission Guidelines

  1. All abstracts must be submitted within the period of March 1, 2023 to May 2,2023 through the APMSTS 2023 Abstract Submission Portal.
  2. Abstracts must be submitted in English.
    • The title should be limited to 40 words. Each word should be capitalized, with the exception of articles, prepositions and conjunctions.
    • The abstract body should be limited to 600 words
  3. The abstract must consist of four components:
    • Objectives
    • Methods
    • Results and Discussion
    • Conclusion
  4. Abstracts may be submitted for either of the two categories:
    • Oral: podium presentations grouped by theme, allotted 5 minutes each
    • Poster: visual representations of research output, displayed on poster boards
  5. A maximum of five authors are permitted per abstract.
  6. Tables, Graphs and Images –When including a table or graph, it is recommended to save as an image. A maximum of 5 images can be included per abstract. The maximum file size of each image is 600(w) x 800(h) pixel, within 1MB , and in JPG or PNG format only.
  7. Additional information regarding abstract submissions:
    • Original papers focused on empirical or theoretical research are welcome
    • Due to the large number of expected submissions, we will not be accepting monographs, brief communications or case reports
  8. The participant completing abstract submission must indicate the presenting author. The presenting author of an accepted abstract for oral or poster presentation MUST register by or before July 5, 2023 for inclusion in the final program.
  9. The same abstract cannot be submitted for consideration in different categories.
  10. Online submissions must indicate copyright agreements allowing publication of materials for all intents and purposes of the conference.
  11. Authors are strongly advised to ensure accuracy of their respective abstracts. Any further edits to accepted abstracts will not be entertained, and submitted versions will be published as is.
  12. All authors named in each abstract must have consented to submission for presentation at APMSTS 2023. Each author will be considered responsible for data presented and in agreement with stated results.
  13. The Scientific Committee of APMSTS 2023 reserves the right to accept or refuse any abstract, to designate abstracts for oral or poster presentation, and to choose a suitable session for the abstract. The authors’ preference of the type of the presentation and theme will be taken into account but may be subject to change in the final program.
  14. All abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee of APMSTS 2023. Presenting authors will be informed of the results via email. The notice of abstract acceptance or rejection will be sent by June 15,2023.
  15. Abstracts under consideration for presentation at other conferences will not be accepted by the APMSTS 2023 Scientific Committee.

Awards & Grants

Young Investigator Awards (YIA)

APMSTS aims to raise the quality of research studies focused on musculoskeletal tumours. The Scientific Committee believes that one way to accomplish this is to encourage young researchers to present their work in an international setting. With this in mind, the APMSTS launched the “Young Investigator Awards” (YIA), seeking to provide a platform for promising young investigators to showcase their work.

Authors below the age of 40 years old before October 4, 2023 are encouraged to show their interest by applying for this award during the abstract submission process. Applicants are must have presented their original oral or poster presentation during the congress live sessions. Results will be announced at the congress closing ceremonies to be held on October 7, 2023. The top 3 outstanding young investigators will be awarded a grant of USD 600 each, together with a certificate.

Best Oral Award

  • Abstracts will be shortlisted based on scores assigned by the Scientific Committee.
  • The presenter must join APMSTS 2023 as in-person participant to compete the award.
  • The best oral presenter will be given a grant of USD 1,000 together with a certificate.

Best Poster Award

  • Abstracts will be shortlisted based on scores assigned by the Scientific Committee.
  • The presenter must join APMSTS 2023 as in-person participant to compete the award.
  • The best poster presenter will be given a grant of USD 1,000 together with a certificate.

Best Flash Award

  • Abstracts will be shortlisted based on scores assigned by the Scientific Committee.
  • The presenter must join APMSTS 2023 as in-person participant to compete the award.
  • The best flash presenter will be given a grant of USD 1,000 together with a certificate.
